No New Posts   Top 5 Richest British Footballer

April 27, 2010

1. David Beckham £125m AC Milan Age 34 Amid the hoo-ha about David Beckham’s mega-lucrative five-year contract to play in the US Major League Soccer, few bothered to make clear that the quoted £128m figure was utterly dependent on maximising sponsorship and attendance at games. Beckham has manfully tried to juggle those balls while making plain his desire to have a fourth World Cup finals appearance with England – which means regular football far closer to the watchful eye of Fabio Capello, hence the loan spell at AC Milan. Beckham is clearly doing what he loves most – playing football – while he still can. It’s been a handsome living: he was on £116,000 a week in Spain, where high-earning foreign nationals are given generous tax breaks. A quarter of his earnings come from Asia, and his company Footwork Productions made £10.5m profit in 2007. But in time, the widely-derided “missus” might come to be the main breadwinner: Victoria Beckham’s dvb label is carving out a niche in the high-end fashion market. 2. Michael Owen £38m Manchester United Age 29 Michael Owen may be on a pay-as-you-play deal drastically reduced from his £110,000 weekly salary at Newcastle United, but money can’t buy what he wants: a squad place at a fourth World Cup finals. He’d lost his England place during an ill-fated spell at St James’ Park after a club-record £16m move in 2005. Back in 2001, while scoring a hat-trick in Germany, he was the advertising face of breakfast cereal Nestlé Sporties; he also advertised washing powder Persil, in a contract worth £1m. He has been an ambassador for the Swiss watchmaker Tissot since 1998, has a contract with car manufacturer Jaguar, was a cover star for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and his Umbro deal nets him £2m a year, lifting his earnings to north of £7.5m a year. His Owen Promotions company showed £7m net assets in 2007-08. He also has extensive racing and bloodstock interests and is said to be increasingly moving into this sphere – but with that market in the doldrums, falling property prices and a lower income this year, we cut Owen back to £38m. 3. Wayne Rooney £37m Manchester United Age 23 He’s come a long way from Croxteth – and not just down the East Lancs Road. Rooney left his Liverpool roots to sign for Manchester United in 2004 for a £31m fee and is paid £100,000 a week by the club; he has also had lucrative endorsement deals with Nike, Coca-Cola, Mercedes and EA Sports, which bring in around £6m a year. His five-book Harper Collins deal netted him a £5m advance. OK! magazine paid £3.2m for the photographic rights to his wedding to Coleen, and the happy couple bagged more than £1m to front a major ad campaign by Asda, the shop where she once worked. The Rooneys live in a £4.25m home in Cheshire and have a Florida holiday home as well. Despite the property slump which has hit Rooney’s investments, we raise him slightly this year to around £37m. 4. Rio Ferdinand £30m Manchester United Age 30 Rio may be hampered my niggling injuries, but he’s comfortably rich. In April 2008, his salary was upped to around £120,000 a week. A lucrative boot deal with Nike provides extra funds to channel into his extensive property portfolio that takes in London, Morocco and the Caribbean. He owns 60% of the White Chalk recording company which he hopes will help him realise his ambition to become a music mogul. It made a £100,000 loss in 2007-08, while his personal company, RGF Enterprises, only publishes abbreviated accounts. 5. Ryan Giggs £24m Manchester United Age 35 Knocking on 36 but still as productive as ever, Ryan Giggs is that rarity: a Manchester United player who is widely respected. His 20 years of top-flight salary have been bolstered by a clutch of lucrative sponsorship deals. Reebok paid him £6.5m over six years, and over the years he has appeared in adverts for Sovil Titus, Citizen Watches, Givenchy, Fuji, Patek Phillipe, Quorn Burgers and Celcom. He signed a one-year contract extension at Old Trafford for 2008-09 and extended that by a year to June 2010. His weekly earnings are around £75,000. His company, Ryan Giggs Ltd, has around £2.9m net assets as at the end of 2007. But with property values down we only raise Ferdinand slightly this year.

No New Posts   Internet Disruption From Today to 2 May 2010

April 23, 2010

KUALA LUMPUR: Repairs to a fault in the submarine cable network linking Malaysia, Europe and the United States are expected to cause disruptions in nationwide Internet services from today until May 2.

Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) said it was taking active steps to minimise disruptions by having additional links on other routes and coordinating with other international carriers to provide additional bandwidth for its customers.

“Despite these initiatives, customers using Internet services nationwide may experience some degree of service degradation, such as slow browsing while accessing international websites.

“Customers using Virtual Private Network and other critical business applications linked to Europe and the US will be assured of minimal service degradation, if any,” said TM in a statement yesterday.

TM will also provide necessary updates on the progress of the restoration works.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure customers that we are taking all necessary measures to ensure that customers experience uninterrupted service.”

For more information, contact TM at 100 and select “Technical Assistance” or e-mail help@tm.com.my for any Internet-related problems

No New Posts   Barcelona Finally Lost to Inter Milan 3-1

April 20, 2010

maicon20100420_350x197.jpg

It was the game billed as an early final, and if the eventual final in Madrid can live up to what this had to offer, then the 90,000 fans inside the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will be in for a treat on May 22.

Pedro put Barcelona in front in the 19th minute, but Inter turned the game around thanks to goals from Wesley Sneijder on the half-hour mark, Maicon just three minutes into the second half and Diego Milito after an hour.

Inter will now travel to the Spain next week looking to wrap up their first ever Champions League final appearance.

Barca, who endured a 14-hour bus journey to Milan due to the volcanic ash, will have plenty of time to reflect on their display as they head back to Catalonia knowing they will need at least two goals to progress.

While Esteban Cambiasso was paying particularly close attention to Lionel Messi in the early exchanges, he took the threat of Maxwell a little less seriously as Barcelona went in front in the 19th minute.

Maxwell was allowed to make his way unchallenged to the goal line as Cambiasso stood and watched, and the former Inter full-back pulled his ball back, just behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but right into the path of Pedro who side-footed in from 15 yards.

Moments earlier, Inter had missed their first big chance of the match when Samuel Eto'o's shot from 25 yards was only parried by Victor Valdes, but Milito, who was following in, placed his shot across the face of goal

Milito got a little closer to the target in the 27th minute when he was again played clean through to the left of goal only to again place his shot wide of the far post, but Sneijder showed him how to finish just three minutes later as Inter levelled.

Milito appeared to steal Eto'o's cross off the toes of Goran Pandev, but the San Siro's groans at what looked like a missed opportunity soon turned to cheers as Milito picked out Sneijder to his left and the Dutchman provided the accomplished finish, placing his shot low past Valdes.

The second half started with a bang as Inter went in front in the 48th minute.

Milito was again left in far too much space by the Barcelona defence and, with Eto'o appearing to obstruct Carles Puyol as he tried to recover ground, the Argentinian forward was allowed time to pick out Maicon at the near post and he beat Valdes from close range.

Barca responded with Sergio Busquets' header saved well by Julio Cesar and then Maicon lifted the rebound away before Busquets could get in another header.

But Barca continued to leave gaping holes in their defence and Thiago Motta exploited one with his pass to Eto'o, whose cross was met by Sneijder with a poor header, but one which unintentionally picked out Milito in a possibly offside position to nod in Inter's third after an hour.

Messi had a free-kick saved in the 79th minute as the Blaugrana launched a late assault on the Inter goal.

Gerard Pique was sent up as an additional attacker and, although he caused plenty of confusion, he and Barca were unable to find a second away goal, leaving Inter in command of the tie ahead of the trip to the Nou Camp next week.

No New Posts   Bayern Munich vs Man United 31/3/2010

March 30, 2010

United took the lead after only 66 seconds when Wayne Rooney volleyed in six yards out from Nani's free-kick.

But Franck Ribery's deflected free-kick set up a dramatic finale, rounded off by Olic's cool run and finish after a defensive error by Patrice Evra.

United's misery was made complete when Rooney limped off with an ankle injury.

The England striker appeared in severe pain after turning over on his right leg in the build-up to Bayern's winner.

United will hope the injury is not too serious, as they face a crucial Premier League match against on Chelsea on Saturday as well as the return match with Bayern next week.

It had started so well for United - and Rooney - but the visitors allowed Bayern to take control of a tie which is delicately balanced ahead of the second leg at Old Trafford on 7 April.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side will comfort themselves in the knowledge that they have an away goal, but the defeat marked their first in 16 unbeaten European away matches and leaves them with plenty to do, particularly should Rooney be missing in a week's time and Bayern be boosted by the return of winger Arjen Robben after a calf problem.

Much of the talk had centred on that pair before the game, but while Robben had to watch from the stands due to injury, Rooney took no time at all to make his mark on the tie.

With barely more than a minute on the clock Nani's free-kick from the right looped off the head of Mark van Bommel and, as Martin Demichelis slipped in the box, Rooney - in acres of space - volleyed home left-footed.

It was exactly the start United boss Ferguson wanted, especially after he had admitted beforehand that he would take a goal over a clean sheet from the tie in Germany.

It did not, however, prompt a United procession as some might have expected. Instead, with United dropping deeper as the match went on in an attempt to play on the counter, Bayern slowly got a foothold in the game and began to utilise the weapons at their disposal.

Most notably, Ribery began to torment right-back Gary Neville. It was he who forced the first save of the tie from Edwin van der Sar with a deflected 18-yard effort, and the Frenchman who then twice caused panic in the home defence in quick succession.

First, his delicious ball over the top was miscontrolled by Hamit Altintop when he had just the keeper to beat, and then his cross was only half-cleared by Van der Sar, Olic somehow allowing Altintop's rebound shot to slip under his foot with the goal gaping.

At the other end, Rooney and Nani were causing plenty of problems of their own, the latter pulling a shot wide and then hitting the bar with a misplaced cross, before Rooney failed to make the most of a fine Darren Fletcher cross, his shot beaten away by Hans-Jorg Butt.

Still, Ferguson cut a clearly frustrated figure on the touchlines - and if United fans wondered why they had their answer when Bayern upped the pace again in the second half.

Olic, Thomas Muller and Mark van Bommel all brought Van der Sar into action with decent efforts, while a mazy dribble from Altintop was almost topped by a cracking finish only for the Dutchman to save.

In response, Ferguson replaced Michael Carrick and the ineffective Ji-Sung Park with Dimitar Berbatov and Antonio Valencia, but still the Bayern chances came - Olic's toe-poke saved at his near post by Van der Sar and then, ultimately, came their equaliser.

o.gif

Neville gave away the free-kick with a needless handball, and Ribery punished the veteran's lapse in concentration to the full extent when his tame free-kick made its way through the wall and in via a deflection off Rooney.

United responded briefly and almost pulled themselves back in front completely against the run of play when Nemanja Vidic rattled the crossbar with a bullet header from Ryan Giggs corner.

But still they looked vulnerable at the back and, in a finale reminiscent of that in 1999 when United came from a goal down in injury time to beat Bayern to the Champions League trophy at the Nou Camp, the hosts had saved their most dramatic moment until the last.

Evra was the guilty party, dallying on the ball and allowing Olic to steal in, drive into the box, and clip past Van der Sar to send the home fans into raptures.

With Bayern players celebrating, meanwhile, Rooney was being helped from the field.

United can ill afford to lose Rooney at this vital stage of the season - and England coach Fabio Capello will also be concerned with the World Cup just over two months away.

No New Posts   Earth Hour 2010

March 27, 2010

KUALA LUMPUR: It was lights off by 8.30pm at the Petronas Twin Towers and the buildings around it as Malaysia observed 2010 Earth Hour.

All non-essential lights at Suria KLCC, including the retail centre’s facade, were turned off for a full 60 minutes.

Many retailers and restaurants also joined hands in the global conservation effort and patrons were seen dining by candlelight.

By 7.45pm, thousands of people had already converged at the compounds of Suria KLCC eagerly waiting for the lights of the twin towers to be switched off.

There was a loud cheer as the lights went off section by section, starting with the upper section of the towers.

A group of six college students who were among the thousands who came to observe the moment carried tea-light candles, arranged in the shape of the figure “60” to symbolise the Earth Day hour-long lights-out.

Meanwhile, in support of the effort, TNB is advising its 7.6 million customers to switch to energy-efficient appliances.

Its chief executive officer Datuk Seri Che Khatib Mohammad Noh urged consumers to switch off electrical appliances when not in use.

The 2009 Earth Hour saw a 550MW dip in nationwide electricity consumption.

The amount is sufficient to light up 14 million 40-watt light bulbs.

Another organisation which joined the 2010 Earth Hour was Petronas. It switched off non-essential lights during the hour.

In George Town, thousands of bulbs lighting up City Hall were switched off, but the Esplanade was alight with flames from 10,000 flickering candles.

Hundreds of people gathered at the field to celebrate the green initiative while others participated by turning off non-essential lights at their homes and businesses.

Crowds also gathered at several different spots in the state to participate in the global Earth Hour.

The lights at the two iconic triangular structures at the mid-span of the Penang Bridge were also switched off.

No New Posts   RM150 000 for TAX 1 Plate Number

March 1, 2010

KUALA TERENGGANU: A local bidder forked out more than RM150,000 for the registration number TAX 1 last November.

Terengganu Road Transport Department (JPJ) director Abdul Rahman Emang Anyie said yesterday the bidder was a businessman here but declined to divulge any more details about him.

Tender documents for the “TAX 1 to TAX 999” registration number ended on Nov 3, and the department received an overwhelming response for all the 1,000 numbers that were tendered.

However, the registration number “TAN 1” still holds the record for the highest bid after a businessman from Johor Baru paid RM200,000 to own the number.

On another matter, Abdul Rahman said his men had successfully detected traffic violators by posing as road users and passengers of public transportation services since February.

He said the 506 offences were recorded, while 257 cases of motorists beating the traffic lights were caught on the spot.

Abdul Rahman said the officers had snapped pictures of the traffic offenders, and summonses would be sent to them.

He said motorcyclists and pillion riders also formed the majority of offenders. Some 150 were captured on film for not wearing crash helmets.

“We will continue with the undercover operation as it has proven effective,” he added.

No New Posts   Dr Zambry is the valid Perak MB

February 9, 2010

PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court ruled on Tuesday that Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir is the rightful Perak Mentri Besar.

The decision was read out by Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Arifin Zakaria, who sat with Court of Appeal President Tan Sri Alauddin Mohd Sheriff and Federal Court judges Datuk Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin, Datuk Wira Ghazali Mohd Yusoff and Datuk Abdull Hamid Embong.

zambry_2.jpgBarisan Nasional representatives give a shout of approval outside the Federal Court.

The bench ruled that the Court of Appeal was right in reversing the High Court ruling.

The apex court held that if a mentri besar refused to resign, his office was deemed to have been vacated.

The bench ruled that the vote of no confidence could be determined by other means than by the Perak Assembly.

It was the final step in the appeal by former Pakatan Rakyat Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin to reclaim the Mentri Besar's post.

zambry_3.jpgNizar talking to his supporters outside the court after the Federal Court had made the ruling.

However, the losing party in the case can apply to the Federal Court to review its own ruling under Rule 137 of the Rules of the Federal Court to challenge the matter on constitutional points.

A calm looking Nizar told reporters that the decision was “not unexpected” and that he and his team would need to study the written judgement before deciding what to do next.

The conflict over who was the rightful Mentri Besar arose last year after three Pakatan assemblymen quit their parties to become independent state assemblymen, leaving Pakatan and Barisan with 28 assemblymen each in the 59-seat Perak legislative assembly.

The Sultan of Perak then named Dr Zambry the Mentri Besar of Perak.

Nizar took the matter to the High Court which ruled in his favour. Dr Zambry, however, got a stay of judgement and went to the Court of Appeal which overturned the High Court ruling.

Nizar then appealed to the Federal Court.

Dr Zambry, who was not in court, later told reporters that the court's decision would allow Barisan Nasional to continue working for the people.

Later Tuesday Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that it was time to work for the development of the state.

"Any unhappiness with Barisan running the state can be raised at the next elections,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr Zambry's lawyers came out of the court room waving happily to the crowd.

Supporters of both sides erupted into shouting slogans with Dr Zambry supporters chanting 'Hidup BN' while Nizar's supporters shouted 'tipu, Zambry penakut, MB haram.'

fruok.jpgFRU personnel keeping an eye on supporters from both sides at the Federal Court in Putrajaya.

Earlier, supporters of both Dr Zambry and Nizar had gathered outside the court as early as 7am with some of them shouting ‘bubar DUN’ and ‘hidup rakyat’.

FRU personnel had a tough time managing the crowd. In the end, Dr Zambry’s supporters were kept to the left while Nizar’s supporters moved to the right of the area leading to the court room.

Chronology of events in the Perak political crisis (Bernama)

March 17 2008: Mohammad Nizar, the state assemblyman for Pasir Panjang, is sworn is as mentri besar of Perak.

Feb 1 2009: Perak State Assembly Speaker V. Sivakumar announces he has received the resignation letters of Behrang assemblyman Jamaluddin Mat Radzi and Changkat Jering assemblyman Mohd Osman Jailu. Both assemblymen deny they have resigned.

Feb 3 2009: The Election Commission decides that the Behrang and Changkat Jering seats are not vacated and as such, by-elections are not required for the constituencies.

Feb 4 2009: Then Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announces that the Perak Barisan Nasional has a simple majority to set up the state government after two PKR assemblymen and one DAP assemblyman quit their parties to become independent assemblyman friendly to the Barisan. Perak Barisan and Pakatan Rakyat both have 28 seats each in the state assembly while three assemblymen are independents.

Feb 5 2009: A media statement issued by the office of the Sultan of Perak states that the sultan will not dissolve the state assembly and has asked Mohammad Nizar and the state executive council to resign or their positions will be deemed to have become vacant.

Feb 6 2009: Dr Zambry is appointed the 11th mentri besar of Perak, replacing Mohammad Nizar. Barisan officially takes over the administration of the Perak government.

No New Posts   How to increase Celcom Broadband Speed

February 8, 2010

I know the frustration of having a dead slow broadband...So I tried a few thing that I discover from google

1. Defaulting the XP tweaks

Here’s a simple 3 minute tweak (XP Pro only) that will increase your broadband speed.

By default (even with QoS disabled) Windows XP reserves up to 20 percent of your connections bandwidth.

To override this reserve take the following steps.

Make sure you Log on as Administrator, not as a user with Administrator privileges.

* Start > Run > type gpedit.msc
* You will see [Local Computer Policy]
* Expand the [Administrative Templates] branch
* Expand the [Network] branch
* Highlight [QoS Packet Scheduler]
* Double-click [Limit Reservable Bandwidth]
* Check [Enabled]
* Change [Bandwidth limit %] to 0 %
* Click [Apply[OK]
* Restart

Effect is immediate.

2. TCP Optimixer

Download the TCP Optimixer here

* Select your advertised maximum speed from the "connection speed" slider bar.  (the maximum available bandwidth, in kilobits per second).

*Choose your Network Adapter, or check to "Modify All Network Adapters".

*Choose the "Optimal settings" radio-button near the bottom of the program.

*Click "Apply changes", and reboot when prompted by the program.

No New Posts   The Most Arrogant Athletes of the Decade

December 29, 2009

These athletes put themselves before their fans, teammates and sport more than any of their contemporaries during the past decade. To make this list you had to have been, or currently be, a superstar in sports whose status on the field was matched or surpassed at some point by your arrogance. Also, the media or your peers had to have been compliant in helping build your phony image. I am not going to pretend this is a scientific study. It was compiled purely from Internet searches and my memory of who duped the general public into creating the most phony image. In other words, the ability of these athletes to create an image that Madison Ave and TV loves was only matched by their selfishness, boozing, womanizing or cheating. A ranking of 1 means the athlete is The Most Arrogant.

10. Charles Barkley

9. Serena Williams

8. Lance Armstrong

7, Tiki Barber

6. Mark McGwire

5.  Barry Bonds

4. Roger Clemens

3. Michael Jordan

2. David Beckham

1. Tiger Woods

No New Posts   Man in wheelchair took hostages

December 23, 2009

WYTHEVILLE, Virginia: An armed man in a wheelchair took five hostages Wednesday at a post office in western Virginia, forcing officials to cordon off three blocks of a downtown filled with holiday shoppers.

Shots were fired, but there were no reports of injuries. The man made no demands other than to ask for a pizza, said Pete Rendina, spokesman for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

Virginia State Police sent in a SWAT team and a bomb technician, and police at the scene told the Wytheville Enterprise newspaper that the man had five pounds of a common plastic explosive strapped to his chest. State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller would not confirm that.

Susan Holman, manager of a store across the street, said officers told employees to leave the building because there was a man with explosives in the post office.

"The officer told us the man had enough explosives to take out the whole block," Holman told the Enterprise.

Mayor Trent Crewe told The Associated Press five hostages were in the building, including three employees and two customers.

Carlton Austin said his daughter, postal worker Margie Austin, was among the hostages. She managed to call a family friend and said she was fine. Later, her father said, family members were waiting to hear more.

"That's all we can do," he said.

Niki Oliver told the Enterprise that her brother, Jimmy Oliver, was one of the hostages and had been able to phone family members.

"We love you," she yelled to him as his mother was speaking to him on the phone.

Niki Oliver said her brother went to the post office to mail a Christmas gift to his son.

Postal worker Walt Korndoerfer said he was in the post office when he heard shots and a co-worker ran past. He called police and then ran himself.

His wife, Christine Korndoerfer, said he called to tell her he had gotten out safely.

"My husband is not one to get upset," she said. "When he called, I don't think I've ever heard him so upset."

Town manager Wayne Sutherland, speaking from his office four blocks from the scene, said dozens of officers had circled the freestanding, brick post office.

"It's completely surrounded by police in every direction," Sutherland said. "All I can see is blue lights."

Rendina said the man was in a wheelchair and missing part of his leg, but he had no other information.

Sutherland said the streets of the town of 8,500 were filled with holiday shoppers. "It's Christmas and all the stores are busy," he said. - AP

No New Posts   Fulham 3 - 0 Man Utd

December 19, 2009

Manchester United's pursuit of the Premier League title suffered a humiliating setback with a thrashing at Craven Cottage inspired by Bobby Zamora.

Danny Murphy opened the scoring from 30-yards after capitalising on a blunder by Paul Scholes and Zamora continued his rich vein of form with the second a minute after the interval.

It was Zamora's fifth goal in four games and a player who was the target of jeers from his own fans just three weeks ago heard his name chanted as he left the pitch to a standing ovation.

The former West Ham marksman - a menace all afternoon - had helped complete the rout of the champions by setting-up the third for Damien Duff in the 76th minute.

Just as worrying for an abysmal United side as their second Premier League defeat in three games was the knowledge they were overwhelmed in every department.

Lacking in imagination and confidence, their crippling injury list has clearly caught up with them as they missed the chance to draw level with Chelsea at the top of the table and suffered a fifth loss of the season.

Nemanja Vidic's failure to recover from a calf strain forced Sir Alex Ferguson to once again field a makeshift defence, which was repeatedly exposed by Fulham.

With Jonny Evans, John O'Shea, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown in the treatment room, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Ritchie De Laet were asked to form a flimsy three-man rearguard.

Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen started in attack but the latter was anonymous and even when Dimitar Berbatov stepped off the bench in the second half they were toothless.

The result has strengthened Fulham's reputation as the scourge of the big four - earnt last season - and registered their second successive victory against United.

In March they beat Sir Alex Ferguson's side for the first time in 45 years by the same scoreline but this triumph was more comprehensive in every aspect.

As early as the 17th minute Fulham looked capable of emulating last season's heroics against the Red Devils thanks to a wonderful move started by Clint Dempsey.

The American floated in a long pass to Zamora who expertly chested the ball down into the path of Zoltan Gera but the Hungarian directed his shot too close to goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak when he had the goal at his mercy.

Duff should have produced a better conclusion to one run into the box but Fulham only had to wait until the 22nd minute to storm into the lead when they capitalised on an error by Scholes.

Fletcher passed to Scholes but the former England midfielder was too slow in reacting, allowing Murphy to snatch the ball from his feet and fire a 30-yard effort into the net.

Zamora should have made it 2-0 but nodded Gera's precision cross wide from six yards out after doing the hard work in outjumping Fletcher.

Quick thinking from Evra and Rooney created a half-chance for Anderson but Fulham reacted so rapidly to the threat that by the time he pulled the trigger he was blocked by a wall of white shirts.

United's problems deepened a minute into the second half when their patched-up defence was unpicked once more as Fulham extended their lead.

Duff supplied the cross to the far post where Dempsey was able to deflect the ball into the path of Zamora who rifled home from close range.

In desperate need of inspiration, a lacklustre United brought on Berbatov for Gibson and switched to a three-pronged strike force.

Needing a third goal to kill-off United, who were showing tentative signs of a fightback, Duff obliged in the 75th minute.

The visitors failed to clear their lines, allowing the brilliant Zamora to set-up Duff who smashed the ball home from 15 yards out.

Delirious Fulham fans chanted "we want four, we want four'' and Zamora would have given it to them had Kuszczak not made a superb late save.

No New Posts   Raja Petra Bersembunyi di London

December 19, 2009

KUALA LUMPUR 19 Dis.

Dia dituduh menerbitkan artikel bertajuk ‘Let‘s Send the Altantuya Murderers to Hell’ dalam blog www.malaysia-today.net, bertarikh 25 April 2008.

Beliau hanya berkata, polis masih berusaha memburu Raja Petra berikutan waran tangkap dikeluarkan terhadapnya mengikut Seksyen 4 (1)(b) Akta Hasutan.
