These athletes put themselves before their fans, teammates and sport more than any of their contemporaries during the past decade. To make this list you had to have been, or currently be, a superstar in sports whose status on the field was matched or surpassed at some point by your arrogance. Also, the media or your peers had to have been compliant in helping build your phony image. I am not going to pretend this is a scientific study. It was compiled purely from Internet searches and my memory of who duped the general public into creating the most phony image. In other words, the ability of these athletes to create an image that Madison Ave and TV loves was only matched by their selfishness, boozing, womanizing or cheating. A ranking of 1 means the athlete is The Most Arrogant.
